Baccarat Hotels & Resorts Brand To Debut In Dubai

Be Prepared for Road Closures in Dubai this Weekend!

Starwood Capital Group affiliate, SH Hotels & Resorts, has sealed a deal for its five star Baccarat Hotels & Resorts brand to debut in Dubai, UAE.

The first Baccarat hotel and residences will be located in a new mixed-use development in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, in 2026. It will be facing the Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building.

The project’s two tapering towers, which are designed by Studio Libeskind, will feature a combination of luxury residences and a hotel. The glass facades of the buildings reflect the various elements of the project, such as the sea, sun, and sand.

The site will be owned and developed by diversified investment firm Shamal Holding, based locally in the UAE.

The hotel will feature 144 guestrooms, a third of them suites, along with 49 Baccarat-branded private residences, designed by the London-based studio, 1508.

The hotel’s food and beverage offerings will include a variety of dining options, such as a casual pool bar and a formal dining room. Other areas will include a Grand Salon, which will serve afternoon tea and champagne and wine programs.

The hotel will be managed by a newly established team within SH Hotels & Resorts, led by Robert Koren, who recently became the new area managing director for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. The company believes that this latest development is a significant step in its growth strategy in the region.

Barry Sternlicht, chairman of SH Hotels & Resorts, said: “We are thrilled to be partners in the development of this extraordinary hotel and residences in one of the top travel destinations in the world. The Baccarat brand celebrates the quality of light, and where is the sun more spectacular than in the Middle East? Our artisans will work to create a spectacular property to take its place among the most revered in the world. We are excited for this project’s gleaming future.”
