A recruiter in Dubai may spend years learning how strong candidates present themselves under pressure.
A cabin crew professional may know exactly where applicants lose confidence during an interview. A
chef, fitness coach or technology specialist may use skills every day that someone else is actively trying
to learn.

Timefolk is building its Dubai marketplace around that kind of practical expertise.
The platform is opening its Expert side to professionals and practitioners who want to teach a specific
skill through structured, in person sessions. Rather than asking Experts to become general content
creators, Timefolk starts with what they already know how to do and what a Client may want to improve.
Through the Timefolk skills marketplace, an Expert can define the skill they teach, set their availability
and establish a fixed price for the session. Clients then search by what they want to learn and can request
or schedule a session with an Expert who offers it nearby.
The range of possible skills is deliberately broad. A recruiter might offer interview practice. A cabin crew
professional could help a Client prepare for an airline interview. A language Expert could focus on
Business English, Arabic for daily life, pronunciation or conversation. Someone working with SI tools
could teach practical SI skills for the workplace. Fitness, cooking and other practical disciplines also fit
the model when the session has a clear learning purpose.
For Dubai professionals, that creates a different way to think about expertise.
Much of what people know professionally is difficult to package into a traditional course. Some skills are
better developed through practice, feedback and direct explanation. Interview technique is one example.
So is pronunciation. The same is true of reviewing a CV , discussing a pitch deck or showing someone
how a particular SI tool can be used in their work.
Timefolk is designed to turn those focused learning needs into individual sessions.
Experts teach independently and in their own names. Timefolk provides the marketplace, identity
verification, payment infrastructure and platform tools, while the Expert provides the teaching. The
company says Experts set their own session fee within their city’s range, and it is shown to the Client
before payment.
Identity verification is part of the process. Every member completes a government ID and liveness check.
Credentials are not verified unless an Expert’s profile marks them as checked, which keeps the line
between confirming who someone is and assessing their credentials clear.
Sessions take place in public places, and the skill being taught is defined before the Client requests the
session. Once a request is made, the Expert confirms within 15 minutes. If they do not, the request is
cancelled and the Client’s money comes back.
The format also gives Experts a clear boundary around what they are offering. They are not being asked
to provide unlimited access or vague advice. Each session is tied to a specific skill, a defined purpose anda fixed price. That structure can make it easier for professionals to decide what they are comfortable
teaching and how they want to present their expertise.
This matters in a city like Dubai because professional experience is unusually diverse. The people
working across recruitment, aviation, hospitality, fitness, technology, food and languages often carry
knowledge that is useful beyond their immediate job. Timefolk’s model is built around giving that
knowledge a defined format rather than treating expertise as something that only belongs inside formal
training institutions.
The company is still early, and it has not published user numbers, revenue figures or growth claims. Its
current focus is Dubai and India, with the UAE strategy placing particular emphasis on developing the
Expert side of the marketplace first.
The platform is already available through the web, Timefolk on iOS and Timefolk on Android.
Timefolk says it supports eight languages, including English, Arabic, Spanish, French, Hindi, Portuguese,
German and Mandarin Chinese, with payment capability across 120 countries.
For professionals considering whether they have something worth teaching, the more useful question may
not be whether they consider themselves a teacher. It may be whether they have a practical skill that
someone else is trying to learn.
