Dubai is well-catered for when it comes to lofty vantage points, but a brand-new offering may have just taken the cake as Dubai’s most extreme.
Sky Views Dubai is now open, and it looks a truly white-knuckle experience.
Posted some 220m above the ground atop Address Sky View Hotel, this glass-floored, see-through slide and harness-requiring stroll on the edge gets the heart pumping and then some.
The architectural marvel delivers commanding views out across Downtown Dubai, and is made up of Sky Observatory, Sky Glass Slide and Sky Edge Walk, each adding its own element of excitement to the experience. You even get there – and by there we mean Level 52 of the colossal hotel – via a glass-cased elevator.

From Level 52 it’s a single storey staircase climb to Level 53 where a 46m long glass walk is perched between the two towers of the hotel.
And the intensity of the ‘walking on air’ opportunity only ratchets up.
Sky Views Edge Walk is the city’s highest, full circle hands-free walk on a ledge in the city, encircling the top of the tower’s main pod, over 219.5 above the ground.
Attached to the ledge by the harness, thrill-seekers are encouraged to lean out over the edge for an unreal snap.
It probably goes without saying that before setting out, guests must complete an in-depth safety briefing. Those wanting to take things a little slower can zip down the Sky Views Glass Slide.
The slide propels visitors from Level 53 to Level 52, and is surrounded by glass on each side – just don’t look down if you’re easily spooked.
