Dubai’s DIPMF: Global Leaders Convene for Project Management Advancements

The Dubai International Project Management Forum (DIPMF) is set to return on January 17, bringing together specialists from across the globe to enhance project management and operations. Organized by Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and co-hosted by Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), DP World Group, and the Project Management Institute (PMI), the ninth edition of DIPMF, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, will explore the theme ‘Beyond Boundaries.’

The forum, a prominent event in the international conference circuit, has previously attracted over 350 experts and specialists to Dubai. This edition will feature three main themes: Sustainability, Modern Methods of Project Management, and Future Trends and Technology, encompassing a total of 14 pillars.

Under the Sustainability theme, discussions will focus on sustainable societies, greener projects, driving sustainable growth, and sustainable architecture. The Modern Methods of Project Management theme will provide insights into the latest trends, future project management offices, benefits and value management, inspiring leadership, project economy, and circular economy. The Future Trends and Technology theme will address topics such as artificial intelligence, smart mobility’s future, agile transformation, digital twin/metaverse, and data management.

Mattar Al Tayer, Director-General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of RTA, emphasized the forum’s evolution into a key global event known for presenting best practices and fostering innovative solutions in project management. With the previous editions attracting over 12,000 participants, Al Tayer highlighted the commitment to Dubai’s regional development and its role as a hub for exchanging ideas among global leaders.

Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Managing Director and CEO of DEWA, expressed gratitude for the visionary directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, making Dubai a global benchmark for best practices and excellence. Al Tayer shared DEWA’s leading experience in managing renewable and clean energy projects, emphasizing the importance of promoting innovation and sustainability.

Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Group Chairman and CEO of DP World, acknowledged the significance of promoting international best practices in major project management. DP World, a global leader in enabling smart commerce, has played a pivotal role in Dubai’s transformative development journey, contributing to global benchmarks.

 

The 9th DIPMF, scheduled to take place in Madinat Jumeirah from January 15 to 18, will feature distinguished figures such as Sheikha Lubna Bint Khalid Al Qasimi, David Coulthard MBE, Mattar Al Tayer, Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Rt Hon Amber Rudd, Mohamed Ali Alabbar, Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor, Ben Royce, Bas Theelen, Jessica Fox, and other international experts.

In addition to keynote sessions, the forum will offer Masterclasses on various topics, including Agile Transformation, Effective Negotiation Skills for Business Success, Recovering Troubled Projects, Project Portfolio Management, Value Delivery System in Projects, Artificial Intelligence, and Big Data. The event aims to provide a platform for thought leaders to exchange experiences and solutions, contributing to long-term sustainable impacts on society.
