Husam Malki Named New GM At Anantara Downtown Dubai

Emirates Confirms That South Africans Can Finally Travel To Dubai From Saturday

Anantara, a luxury hotel brand, has announced that Husam Malki has been named as the new general manager of its Antara Downtown Dubai hotel. The hotel, which is located in Business Bay, features 251 rooms and suites that are designed to provide a unique blend of modern and traditional hospitality.

Antara Downtown Dubai features five distinctive dining outlets, a state-of-the-Art fitness center, an outdoor pool, and an Anantara Spa. According to a statement, the hotel’s new general manager, Husam Malki, brings over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry. He started his career in the industry as a front of house manager before moving to Erbil, Iraq, where he was the Executive Assistant Manager of the Rotana Hotels.

According to the company, his career in the hospitality industry took off after he joined Anantara’s Banana Island Resorts in Doha. He then held various positions in different cities, including Salalah and Dubai. He is now looking forward to working with Anantara to continue developing the hotel’s operations.

The hotel is located in a prime location and is expected to provide the best possible service to its guests. With over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, including working with some of the world’s leading hotel groups, such as Hyatt, Accor, and Starwood, Husam is well-equipped to lead the team at Antara Downtown Dubai.

Prior to becoming the general manager of the Banana Island Resorts in Doha, Malki was the resident manager of the Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort. He then joined the company’s Minor Hotels division and was tasked with overseeing the opening of a new property, the Souk Al Wakra Hotel by Tivoli. In 2019, he was named as the general manager of the hotel. He was responsible for overseeing the hotel’s operations and developing new business strategies.
