Father Christmas is coming to town in December
By Time Out EditorsNovember 29, 2021
Santa Claus is coming to town – to Expo 2020 Dubai, to be precise. The big man in red is headed to the Finland pavilion this festive season to spread joy and holiday cheer for Christmas.
Santa is coming to Dubai all the way from his workshop in Korvatunturi, to ensure kids and big kids alike get all their Christmas wishes granted. (We hope you have been good this year.) At the Finland pavilion, Santa Claus will be meeting with families for photo opportunities and to hear what’s on their Christmas wish lists. If you’re looking for an ideal festive activity for families in the UAE, head to Dubai Expo for the holiday fun.

The jolly old man in red is hoping to spread holiday cheer to all. In support Finland’s pavilion theme of “Sharing Future Happiness”, Santa will also be asking visitors what makes them happy to spread even further Christmas cheer. Bring on the warm, fuzzy answers.
Wondering when you can see Santa Claus at Expo 2020 Dubai? Father Christmas is embarking Lapland on his sleigh this December for the special event. He will be at Expo 2020 Dubai daily from Friday December 17 to December 22 from 11am to 8pm. Of course, he will be leaving Dubai early so he can go back to his workshop in the North Pole and get ready to deliver all of the presents on Christmas Eve.
Visitors are encouraged to plan their trips to see Santa at Expo 2020 Dubai early. Kris Kringle will be at The Gorge, Finland pavilion, Mobility District at Expo 2020 Dubai. Additionally, Father Christmas will be visiting country pavilions, including meeting pavilion mascots, so be on the watch for the big man in red. A full timetable of Santa Claus at Expo 2020 Dubai will be shared on the Finland pavilion social media channels. Ho ho ho.
Want to visit Expo for the Christmas holidays? It couldn’t be a better time because Expo 2020 is offering a new Festive Pass for Dhs95 so visitors can celebrate the world’s greatest show and Christmas 2021 at the same time.
Expo will be transforming into a Wonderland this winter with Al Wasl, the Welcome Plazas, Jubilee Stage, Dubai Millennium Amphitheatre, Al Forsan Park and all concourse areas getting trimmed in festive decorations. Visitors will also be able to watch classic holiday films like Home Alone (Thursday, December 23), Miracle on 34th Street (Friday, December 24) and Elf (Saturday, December 25) on the Jubilee Stage.
Fri Dec 17-Wed Dec 22. 11 am-8 pm. The Gorge, Finland pavilion, Mobility District Expo 2020 Dubai.
