Next UAE public bank holiday dates announced

You’ve not got long to wait for a four-day weekend

By Time Out EditorsNovember 1, 2021
The weather has finally turned and we’re busy trying to cram in all the outdoor activities we’ve been missing.

From breakfasts by the sea (here’s looking at you Palm West Beach) to rooftop sundowners that start mid-afternoon and linger long into the evening, it’s time to get outside.

Not to mention leisurely days outs at Expo Dubai 2020, Ripe Market and Love Lakes, as pretty as ever.

How do we fit it all in? It must be time for a holiday, right?

Fret not, a long weekend is coming – and it’s a good one. Those working Sunday to Thursday will get four days off to celebrate National Day and Commemoration Day at the end of this month.

The break begins on Wednesday December 1 to celebrate Commemoration Day, and will be followed by two more days off on Thursday December 2 and Friday December 3 to celebrate National Day, giving both public and private sector workers a much-needed four-day weekend.

The public holiday in Dubai dates for 2021 and 2022 were announced by the UAE Cabinet in December 2020 and are subject to change, but there’s no harm in getting prepared.

How will you spend your next long weekend?
