Dubai Invitational Unveils Golf Stars: Donald, Fleetwood, Fox Headline Inaugural Event

Ryan Fox secured a commendable tie for 14th place at the Dubai Invitational following an impressive final round. The top New Zealand golfer carded a three-under 68 at the Dubai Creek Resort course, marking his second consecutive 68 after posting consecutive 70s in the tournament’s initial two rounds.

Finishing at eight under for the event, the 36-year-old Fox found himself in a six-way tie for 14th, trailing the winner, England’s Tommy Fleetwood, by 11 shots. Fleetwood claimed the title with a commanding performance.

For his efforts, Ryan Fox earned €33,254.82 ($NZ58,325.58). Meanwhile, fellow New Zealander Daniel Hillier concluded his tournament at even par, sharing the 36th spot in a four-way tie. Hillier posted a one-under 70 in his final round, securing €16,399.64 ($NZ28,763.30) in prize money.

Looking ahead, Daniel Hillier is set to participate in the 2024 New Zealand Open, joining compatriots Steven Alker and Ben Campbell in the field at Millbrook next month. The trio of New Zealand professionals is gearing up for the prestigious event.
