UAE Pitches For Resumption Of Normal Flight Schedule With India Amid Dubai Expo

Next month, Dubai will play host to the World Government Summit, attracting thousands of leaders, experts, and senior officials from over 150 countries. The event, taking place from February 12 to 14 at Madinat Jumeirah, aims to shape the trajectory of future governments and devise innovative solutions for impending challenges.

The focal point of this year’s summit will be artificial intelligence (AI), with notable figures such as Sam Altman, co-founder of OpenAI, and Jensen Huang, president of Nvidia Corporation, leading discussions. The summit will also feature the annual gathering for the Time 100 AI list, recognizing the most influential personalities in the field.

Mohammed Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and chairman of the World Government Summit, emphasized the imperative focus on AI due to its profound impact on daily lives. He stated, “AI won’t change the world in the coming five years, but it will in the coming 1,000 years. It will be a major change, and we can solve many problems by AI.”

The summit will encompass 15 conferences addressing the future of AI, government services, urbanization, education, and smart mobility. Additionally, six conferences will explore health, sustainable development, future economies, and advanced technology.

Over 4,000 participants from both public and private sectors will engage in 110 interactive sessions, featuring 200 speakers from 80 international, regional, and intergovernmental organizations, including the UN, World Bank, IMF, WHO, International Atomic Energy Agency, and the Arab League.

Mohammed Al Gergawi highlighted the summit’s role as a knowledge platform for new and innovative ideas, bringing together global minds for the collective benefit of humanity. The event will include future creators from the private sector in fields such as technology, energy, finance, and transport. Moreover, it will host eight Nobel Prize winners and 23 ministerial sessions. The announcement of world leaders participating in the summit is expected in the coming days.

Over the past decade, previous summits have seen the participation of more than 50 presidents, 2,500 ministers, 1,550 speakers, and 38,000 participants, solidifying the World Government Summit as a key forum for global collaboration and exchange of groundbreaking ideas.
