Sheikh Mansoor Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council, extended a warm welcome to international stars and delegates attending the Dubai Globe Soccer Awards. The 18th edition of the Dubai International Sports Conference, a part of the ‘Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives,’ and the 14th edition of the ‘Dubai Globe Soccer’ Award ceremony are set to be remarkable events.
Scheduled for Friday, the conference will revolve around the theme ‘Sustainability and Performance in Football.’ It will bring together notable figures from the footballing world, including players, coaches, and decision-makers, who will engage in discussions and dialogue on various aspects of the sport. The subsequent gala ceremony will acknowledge and honor outstanding individuals across different award categories. 
In a significant achievement, Cristiano Ronaldo, the Portuguese forward for Al Nassr, secured the Maradona Award for Best Goalscorer in the prestigious Dubai Globe Soccer Awards. The 38-year-old football icon surpassed competitors Kylian Mbappe, Harry Kane, and Erling Haaland, adding another accolade to his illustrious list of individual successes.
Reflecting on the significance of the Dubai Sports Conference and Dubai Globe Soccer Awards, Sheikh Mansoor emphasized their role as global platforms for dialogue and discussions with specialists. Launched in 2006 and 2010, respectively, these events have become eagerly anticipated, providing insights into the journeys of football stars and addressing developmental aspects of the game.
