This recognition, revealed in an annual report by Euromonitor, adds to the emirate’s impressive accolades, including a recent top-five ranking among the most picturesque cities during Christmas, a prominent spot in Resonance’s best cities list, and its distinction as the number one destination for expats in November.
Outshone only by the iconic French capital, Paris, Dubai’s remarkable standing reflects its prowess in various aspects such as tourism, sustainability, economic growth, and safety – the latter unsurprising given the city’s commitment to security and well-being. 
Notably, Dubai stands as the lone representative from the Middle East within the top 20 cities worldwide. While other globally renowned destinations like London, Rome, Madrid, and Amsterdam secured positions in the top ten, only one American city, Los Angeles, managed to claim a spot in the top 20.
