The increasing number of campaigns in the workplace are helping improve the welfare of blue-collar workers in Dubai. Over 70,000 individuals have been trained through a government program to improve their understanding of the country’s immigration, labour and safety laws.
The PCLA in Dubai is working with a local training centre to expand its offerings in the areas of employment. The committee, which is chaired by Maj Gen Obaid Muhair bin Suroor, aims to raise the standard of living for workers in the city by launching various initiatives and campaigns. It has also carried out several community projects and campaigns to improve the working conditions of its members. The organization has so far focused on addressing the concerns of blue-collar workers in the construction industry.
