Dubai authorities, in alignment with the UAE Ministry of Education’s directive, have advised private educational institutions to maintain distance learning on Tuesday, February 13, as a precautionary measure due to potential weather disruptions.
The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), Dubai’s educational regulator, conveyed this message via social media, urging flexibility among schools, nurseries, and universities. Emphasizing safety, the KHDA underscored the importance of continuing remote learning options.
Similarly, in Sharjah, the local Emergency, Crisis, and Disaster Management Team, alongside the Sharjah Private Education Authority, decided to extend remote learning for all private schools in the Emirate on February 13. This proactive measure aims to safeguard the well-being of students and staff amidst adverse weather conditions affecting the region.
Earlier, Dubai government entities granted employees the option to work remotely on February 13, as directed by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai.
