Miss World 2024, the 71th edition of the Miss World, is set to be held on 9th of March 2024 at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, India where delegates from all over the world will compete for one of most coveted beauty titles of the world. The winner will succeed and will be crowned by Karolina Bielawska of Poland at the end of the event finale.

The competition is days away and the stunning beauty queens have been indulging in various pre-pageant activities before the official events begin in full swing. While these leaders from all over the world are putting their best foot forward to represent and make their countries proud, some of them have made a strong impression and are emerging as frontrunners for the crown. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science Degree in Commerce and Marketing, Tharina is not only academically inclined but also a visionary entrepreneur, running her own clothing brand aimed at empowering women. Her aspirations extend beyond the realm of business, with dreams of hosting her own TV show akin to the iconic Oprah Winfrey.

Beyond her academic and entrepreneurial pursuits, Tharina’s talents and interests are as diverse as they are impressive. A skilled traditional Thai dancer, adept tennis player, and accomplished painter, she exudes a multifaceted charm that captivates audiences. Moreover, her prowess in freediving, demonstrated by her ability to hold her breath for an impressive 2 minutes and 39 seconds underwater, speaks volumes about her physical stamina and determination.

1st Runner Up – India – Sini Shetty

After completing a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Finance, Sini is currently pursuing a career in Finance as a Financial Analyst. While steadily pursuing her academic goals, Sini is also working for a Youth Marketing organisation. She is also a model and a dance teacher with 15 years of training in Bharatanatyam one of India’s most challenging classical dances. Her proudest moment is delivering a three-hour performance of eight theatrical dances to an audience of 2000. ‘While I strive for excellence, my pursuit of happiness is driven by my purpose: an independent spirit and a commitment to authentic self-expression.’

2nd Runner Up – Turkey – Nursena Say

As well as working as a Model and Actress, Nursena is currently working as an Architect after finishing her Bachelor’s Degree and aspires to be a Global Advocate for sustainable Architecture and Inclusive Development. ‘I envision creating spaces that empower individuals, preserve cultural heritage and foster a sense of belonging.’ Nursena is currently designing play and educational areas for children with cancer supporting the Cancer Warriors Association and she is also volunteering as an Architect designing Social Houses for Earthquake Victims.

3rd Runner Up – Spain – Paula Perez

After completing her Degree in Medicine and Surgery Paula is currently working in the Accident and Emergency Department, as a General Doctor and as a substitute paediatrician, she is also working as a Model. Paula also co-operates with the National Medical Advisory on Educational Health Projects and volunteers for different social causes around mental health of ailing children, prevention of suicide and social inclusion.

4th Runner Up – South Africa – Claude Mashego

If she wins Miss World, Claude’s goal is to build a network of young leaders and community builders in South Africa and across the African continent through her non-profit company, the Young Leaders Network. Mashego went on to highlight the importance of pageants as platforms for community-building and inspiring positive change.

Her background as a medical professional, graduating from the University of Pretoria with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery, showcased her capabilities and passion for making a meaningful impact.
