Fancy a beachfront stay in old Dubai? Ready to try Dubai’s newest waterpark? Need an adventure that will appeal to all the family? Look no further. The ultimate themed family resort is now open at Deira Islands, Dubai’s newest waterfront city.

Just minutes away from the new Souk Al Marfa seafront souk and marketplace, Centara Mirage Beach Resort Dubai is a Thai and Arabian-themed wonderland.

Head straight to the water park with slides, cliff jumping platforms and rope climbing course for the thrill-seekers, and lagoon pools, lazy river and kids’ splash play area for those that prefer a more leisurely approach.

Wander down winding wooden walkways to the golden beach and turquoise sea, perfect for a paddle or one of many watersports on offer.

Children are the stars of the show at Centara, with three kids’ clubs (high five to the parents), an outdoor playground and the Candy Spa, a kids-only wellness zone decked out in all the colours of the rainbow.

Some of the resort’s 607 rooms even feature bunk beds, to make the kids feel right at home.

Seven restaurants and bars offer something for everyone. Suan Bua specialises in authentic Asian cuisine, while steak lovers will favour Uno Mas, a traditional Argentinian grill with its own grape cellar.

Fresh seafood and prime meats can be sampled at Sands, the casual beach club, while Sheesh is a Lebanese restaurant and rooftop shisha lounge, the perfect chill-out spot.

Work it all off at the resort’s fitness centre, or let someone else do the hard graft by booking in for a Thai massage at Spa Cenvaree.
