South African footwear giant Bathu have recently announced the release of their Bathu kids range.
Launched at the Bathu warehouse in Centurion, South Africa, the sneaker comes in two different colour ways, a colourful green, blue, light blue, yellow and red colour way for the male superheroes while they have a more feminine yellow, purple, pink, light pink, green and black for the female superheroes.
On the collection, Theo Baloyi, founder of the brand, said: “We have always been in the kiddies market, but we have always wanted to create something exciting for the little ones. Starting this journey with such an incredible kid like SuperMash is really exciting. The shoe has an incredible story behind it.”
Prince Mashawana better known as SuperMash is the first black child superhero in Africa, he is also the youngest in the world to ever do a Tedx Talk. SuperMash fights all of the challenges that young children face all around the world like bullying, domestic violence, abuse, substance abuse etc.
When SuperMash puts on his Bathu x SuperMash sneakers his superpowers activate. SuperMash and Bathu have made these special shoes available for all the children of the world to wear so that they can also become superheroes.
“You can be your own hero. Just wear your Bathu x SuperMash sneaker and you can change the world.” Says SuperMash.
The sneakers are available on the Bathu website and will be rolled out into all the stores over the next few weeks. SuperMash will be doing a roadshow and various activities in Bathu stores around South Africa with plans of doing some work in the UAE.
Within the next 15 years, Baloyi plans on making Bathu the best sneaker brand in Africa. Bathu does not have a store in the UAE but they offer worldwide shipping on all of their sneakers.
