Just in time for the festive season, Dubai has unveiled a unique Gingerbread Express Elevator at The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai, in Jumeirah Beach Residence. This whimsical lift, adorned with real sweets and baked goods, is operational until Sunday, January 7.
Dubbed the Gingerbread Express Elevator, the confectionery-themed lift offers visitors a delightful journey within the edible confines. The exterior and interior of the elevator are meticulously crafted with real gingerbread and sweets, showcasing the culinary artistry of the hotel’s chefs. The biscuit-bricked exterior is shaped like a house, embellished with presents and a dusting of “snow,” creating an enchanting setting for memorable photographs. 
Operating daily from 9 am to 9 pm, the Gingerbread Express Elevator takes guests to The Hamper Shop, located in The Lobby Lounge. The shop, transformed for the season, offers a range of festive gifts and treats. While there, visitors can indulge in Christmas desserts such as yule logs, stollen, fudge, Christmas puddings, and mince pies.
This edible masterpiece adds a sweet touch to the city’s festive celebrations, joining the array of Christmas pop-ups and events happening around Dubai, including Christmas markets and a seasonal parade at Riverland Dubai.
