Your passport to the Amalfi Coast is at this new beachside Italian

When it comes to dreamy destinations, Italy is pretty hard to top. Thankfully you now no longer need to venture out Dubai to enjoy some Mediterranean breeze.
Just-opened Italian beachside destination, Piatti by the Beach, draws inspiration from the Amalfi Coast and Positano. It is the latest addition to the recently-opened Raffles The Palm Dubai’s lineup. Sitting pretty on the west crescent of Palm Jumeirah Dubai, Raffles The Palm Dubai is set to be home to a total of eight restaurants and bars.
Time Out has been down to take an exclusive first look at this exciting new restaurant.
Great things can be expected from this new opening. Piatti by the Beach has been brought to Dubai by Bulldozer Group, the brains behind Cipriani and Gaia in Dubai and China Tang at The Dorchester in London.
The relaxed yet sophisticated feel of Piatti by the Beach is set by the whitewashed walls and pops of colour, paying homage to its Positano muse. The sprawling terrace provides panoramic sea views and hanging planters loom overhead with cascading magenta blooms. You could almost be in Italy.
Welcoming diners for lunch and dinner, Piatti by the Beach offers a medley of Mediterranean delights created by globally-respected culinary legend Chef Batuhan Piatt, of Turkish MasterChef fame.
The selection of starters includes burrata with cherry tomatoes and sautéed Mediterranean mussels, along with Mazara red prawns. Diners can savour a selection of Italian favourites for mains, including salt-crusted sea bass and “Norcia” black truffle pizza.
Those with a sweet tooth are not going to want to miss out on Piatti by the Beach as there is an entire room dedicated to dolce. Enshrined within the aptly named ‘Temptation Room’ is a selection of handcrafted cakes and tarts. You’ll definitely want to grab a slice.
Reservations are now open for Piatti by the Beach – be one of the first to experience this elegant Italian excursion. La vita è bella.
