Peet Viljoen is a South African attorney and law broker, recognised for his work in high-stakes litigation and corporate legal strategy. He has represented high-profile clients across industries, including mining, finance, and international business, and is noted for his aggressive legal tactics and ability to navigate complex, high-value disputes.

Viljoen began his career as a practicing attorney, quickly establishing a reputation for handling intricate and high-value matters. He founded the bond-originating company Finbond, later listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange, and represented the largest fund management company in Korea. Over the years, he developed an extensive network in the legal and business sectors.

One of Viljoen’s most notable cases involved billionaire coal mining mogul Frikkie Ludzki, whose Agusta helicopter crashed in a near-fatal incident. Ludzki survived, and Viljoen pursued legal action against the manufacturer, Agusta. He obtained an Anton Piller order to seize company computers and documents, pausing production to gather evidence. Viljoen demonstrated that a critical part of the service process—specifically weighing the helicopter and checking the fuel gauge had been skipped. The court found Agusta negligent, awarding Ludzki millions in damages.

In addition to his litigation practice, Viljoen operates as a law broker, using his expertise to match clients with the most suitable attorneys based on case type, success rate, and reputation. His brokerage services are designed to save clients time, money, and frustration.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Viljoen received an official letter of thanks from South African President Cyril Ramaphosa for donating masks to essential workers and contributing to the country’s health response.

Viljoen specializes in:
• High-stakes litigation
• Corporate and commercial law
• Complex dispute resolution
• Legal brokerage and strategic case management
