Dubai, UAE – The SAPS Special Task Force Unit (SAPS STF) wrapped up day two of the UAE SWAT Challenge in a commendable third position, representing South Africa with distinction.
On Tuesday evening, SAPS proudly announced that the SAPS STF Unit continued to hoist the flag of the South African Police Service high at the UAE SWAT Challenge in Dubai.
“At the conclusion of the second day of the competition, our team stands at an impressive third place among the 55 competing teams,” SAPS confirmed.
The UAE SWAT Challenge is dedicated to the exchange of knowledge and the strengthening of partnerships aimed at enhancing community safety.

On Monday, SAPS had conveyed their best wishes to the SAPS STF Unit, emphasizing that the elite unit had been selected to participate in the UAE SWAT Challenge in Dubai from February 2 to 24.
The competition is designed to foster benchmarking and assess the global tactical and weaponry capabilities and competencies of the world’s elite units in responding to high-risk incidents. A total of 55 elite Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) teams are participating in the 4th edition of the UAE SWAT Challenge 2023.
