Famed Argentinian restaurant Sucre will fire up its kitchen in DIFC
By Time Out EditorsNovember 9, 2021
Famed Argentinian restaurant Sucre is opening a kitchen in Dubai’s buzzing DIFC, and there is plenty to look forward to.
Opening just in time for Christmas on Wednesday, December 15, the renowned South American eatery and bar first opened in Buenos Aires some 20 years ago, landing in Dubai via a successful opening in London’s trendy Soho district in the interim.
Known for its open-fire cooking, Sucre is the brainchild of chef Fernando Trocca who blends Italian, Spanish and Latin American influences in a menu Time Out editors, for one, can’t wait to get acquainted with.

So what exactly is on the new menu?
Well, taking a sneak peek at the London offering, we note halibut on the bone, and 800g bone-in rib eye (to share), octopus, squid and veal, all alongside small plates built around fresh beetroot, spice aubergine, wild mushroom (shaped into tacos) and Dorset clams (though we doubt they’ll be making the trip to Dubai).
We’ve been told to expect plenty of passion in the trim menu, with an emphasis on fresh, high-quality ingredients.
DIFC is of course no stranger to international cuisine and boasts a thriving restaurants scene home to some of the city’s most celebrated chefs and kitchens.
